Connect an AI assistant to Radio Workflow (MCP)

You can connect an AI assistant to Radio Workflow and ask it questions about your own work in plain English. Once connected, you can ask things like:

  • "Which of my accounts haven't been contacted in the last 60 days?"
  • "What's on today's log for KXYZ?"
  • "Summarise the proposals I sent this month and their status."
  • "Which invoices are overdue, and by how much?"

The assistant reads your Radio Workflow data to answer. It sees exactly what you see: your workspace, your accounts, nothing belonging to anyone else.

What this is

Radio Workflow publishes an MCP server. MCP is short for Model Context Protocol, the open standard that AI assistants use to connect to outside tools and data. Any assistant that supports MCP can connect to Radio Workflow, so this is not limited to one vendor.

Yes, Radio Workflow supports MCP. This is the address you give your assistant:

It is a hosted (remote) MCP server, so there is nothing to install and nothing to run on your own machine.

What you need

  • A Radio Workflow login (the one you already use).
  • An account with an assistant that supports MCP connectors. See the list below.

You do not need anything from anyone else in your workspace, and there is no key, token or password to copy.

Connect it

You only do this once per assistant. The pattern is the same everywhere: find the connectors screen, add a custom or remote MCP server, paste the address above, then sign in to Radio Workflow and approve the access.

Menus move as these products change. If the wording below does not match what you see, look for anything called Connectors, Apps, Integrations or MCP servers.

Claude

  1. Open Claude and go to Settings → Connectors.
  2. Choose Add custom connector.
  3. Paste the address above.
  4. Claude opens a Radio Workflow sign-in page. Sign in the way you normally do.
  5. Radio Workflow shows you what Claude is asking for. Read it, then click Allow.

Works on the free plan and up, on the web and in the desktop app.

ChatGPT (OpenAI)

  1. On the web, go to Settings → Apps → Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode. Custom MCP connectors are hidden until you do.
  2. Go to Settings → Connectors and choose Create.
  3. Paste the address above, then complete the Radio Workflow sign-in and approval.
  4. Enable the connector for your chats.

Available on Plus and Pro. On Business, Enterprise and Edu, a workspace administrator can switch developer mode off or restrict which connectors are allowed, so check with them if you cannot see the option.

Microsoft Copilot, Perplexity, Grok, Mistral Le Chat

These support MCP connectors on their paid tiers. Open their connector or integrations settings, add a remote MCP server, and paste the address above.

Developer tools

Cursor, VS Code with GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, Zed, Cline and Claude Code all accept remote MCP servers. Add Radio Workflow as a remote server using the same address. These tools usually keep MCP servers in a settings file or an MCP pane rather than a connectors screen.

Anything else

Any MCP-compatible client will work as long as it supports remote servers over HTTPS with OAuth sign-in. Clients that only support local, command-line MCP servers cannot connect to Radio Workflow.

What the assistant can and cannot see

The assistant acts as you. It can read the same records you can and nothing else. If you cannot see another rep's accounts in Radio Workflow, neither can the assistant.

Read the approval screen before approving, so you know what you are granting.

A connection is read-only unless the assistant specifically asks for write access. Read-only means it can look things up but cannot change anything.

Your password is never shared with the assistant. You sign in on Radio Workflow's own page, exactly as you always do.

Disconnect it

Open the assistant's connectors settings and remove the Radio Workflow connector.

If something does not work

You cannot find where to add a connector. Most assistants keep this behind a paid plan, and ChatGPT hides it until developer mode is on. Check your plan first, then the developer or advanced settings.

The assistant says it cannot see your data. Check the connector is still listed in its settings, and reconnect if it is not.

Answers look out of date or incomplete. Ask it to check again. It reads live data each time, but it may be working from earlier in your conversation. Saying "check the current data" is usually enough.

Good to know

  • The assistant works from what is in Radio Workflow. If a record is incomplete, the answer will be too.
  • It can read large amounts at once, so questions covering your whole account list are fine.
  • Like any AI assistant, it can occasionally get something wrong. Check anything you plan to act on, the same way you would a colleague's summary.
